Lorry Wedding-Marchioro is a sculptor working from a studio in the Adelaide Hills. Using a variety of materials and techniques, her work spans from large public artworks to sculptural installation.
The theory of the Observer effect in Quantum physics is a main inspiration which often makes itself known in playful interactions between elements and the use of kinetic and interactive technology.
Fascinated by the relationship to consciousness and the way we perceive the world, research plays an important role in her practice. Currently she continues her pursuit as a PhD candidate at the University of South Australia.
Wedding-Marchioro also holds a Masters of Visual Art from the University of South Australia and a Masters of Fine Art from Monash University. Her work has been exhibited in galleries and museums throughout Australia, U.S.A. and Asia.
