Painted  and kiln formed glass

Personal experience and contemplation of both real and  imaginary world inspire many of these works.

The images are drawn onto the glass using a technique known as sgraffito, in which the glass enamels cover the glass and are then brushed off to reveal the design, this process is similar to drawing in reverse. Colour is then applied to the glass in a painterly manner and the work may be fired several times in the kiln up to a temperature of up to 850 degrees to complete the process.
